Most qualified Sailor at this command!  My most dependable EOOW.  Lead trainer with DCTT, ECTT and ESWS qualifications for 1,000 Sailors.

Goes above and beyond. As MWR Officer he planned, organized, and lead 12 MWR tours for the 5 port visits GUARDIAN made on her deployment.

Superb leader!  As Department LCPO, his Sailors attained an overall retention rate of 85%, while 63% advanced. Compared the Navy’s retention rate of 45% and 23% advancement.

Far Reaching Responsibility: EM1 carries responsibility over every single space aboard USS NEVERSAIL, including both main spaces and the galley. This was evident the his recent griddle, oven, search light, MPAC, and #2 switchboard repair.

Involved in the Community: EM1 Smith  is always the first to sign up for both COMREL projects and volunteer events.

Program Manager: As Electrical Safety Officer and Tag Out Program Manager, he effectively managed both programs thereby greatly contributing to the ships successful 3M inspection.

Keen Technical Insight: Supervised and managed the complete change out of one of three diesel generators

Natural Leader: During the recent Underway Demonstration EN1 Smith’s leadership ability as EOOW resulted in USS NEVERSAIL receiving the score of “OUTSTANDING” from the PACFLT N82 inspection team.  No other ship in the PACFLT has this honor or title.

Flawless Performer: During a recent Diesel Engine Inspection his 2 Main propulsion Diesel Engine was hailed as “flawless” by the senior Inspector.

Meticulously processed and tracked 1,500 ammunition transactions and 400 cross-country weapon shipments without error.

Skillful administrator.  As Work Center Supervisor, Petty Officer Smith implemented three force revisions and managed a 100% accomplishment rate for 720 planned maintenance requirements.

My number one Senior Chief Petty Officer!  Senior Chief Smith would be my number one SCPO in any size peer group.

As President of the First Class Petty Officers Association, PO Smith was responsible for raising over $1,500.00 to help pay for the Command Christmas Party.

Lead absentee voter training, administered DON surveys, and tracked the voter registration status of 130 personnel.  His efforts ensure 100% compliance and contact. with Federal regulations and met the CNO’s objective of 100% contact.

Organized and managed the training and subsequent qualification of 89 command members on the use of the MK-102 insuring USS NEVERSAIL was ready for her upcoming deployment

Volunteers countless hours per week restocking the command’s MWR snack mess.
